This section of our web site logs the activities of Mr. Brent Saltzman, Louisiana One Call's Manager - Damage Prevention, and Mr. Jeff Morrison, Coordinator - Damage Prevention, both of whom travel the state making safety presentations to government agencies, utilities, pipelines, contractors and others involved in excavation or demolition. Also, they visit radio and television stations to provide public service announcements and to broadcast interviews in support of our public safety mission.
When excavating activity takes place without notification, Mr. Saltzman or Mr. Morrison contact the excavator to review state law and safety guidelines. Educational materials about safe excavation and a letter documenting the contact are sent to the excavator by mail after the meeting. These contacts are logged by media market so that our advertising can be placed where awareness appears to be low. You can read an overview of our statewide radio and TV advertising here.
